High Condition Astra M300 German WWII Military, First Delivery
Description:
Very attractive, original condition Astra M300 as shipped to the German military during WWII. This pistol was included in the first delivery dated 18 October 1941 and has the early style grips with exaggerated recess around retaining screw and no Luftwaffe marking. Classic features include forward slide with Astra E/U logo with two line address at rear. Triad of Eibar proofs on left tang with M reflecting production in 1941. Early automatic pistol proof repeated on left side of slide and exposed barrel hood that is also marked with the caliber. Full serial number on slide, frame, and matching barrel.
Condition:
EXC 97% bright original rust blue finish with comparable condition fire blued extractor and magazine. Bushing with usual marrs reflecting improper attempt at disassembly. Dark, oil grips with scattered light bruising as imaged. Domes of grip screws faded. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. An excellent example of the earliest configuration Astra M300 delivered to the German Army in WWII.
