Description:
Scarce TGE Papa Nambu, Japanese Navy contract, matching with closely numbered magazine (only 6 digits higher). This standard configuration Papa Nambu has a 4.75” barrel with a drift adjustable front sight and tangent rear sight graded 1-5. Top of chamber TGE “Tokyo Gas and Electric”. Left side of barrel extension with two Kanji. Right side of barrel extension marked with Naval anchor followed by three Kanji surmounting the full serial number. Partial disassembly shows the serial number repeated on the cocking knob, firing pin, knurled retainer and each of the grips. Correct magazine numbered “3067”. Major components rust blued. Strawed extractor, firing pin retainer, trigger, and magazine release button.
Condition:
VG/EXC bright original rust blue with minimal sharp edge wear and scattering of freckles in the usual locations: under barrel, forward portion of recoil spring housing and each of the grip straps. Strawed parts with expected fading; no suggestion of enhancement. Crisply checkered grips with minimal losses, no cracks or splits. Comparable condition magazine. Bright bore with easily discernible rifling. Correct manual mechanics. One of the nicer Papa Nambus especially in having such a closely numbered magazine.!
