Scarce Transitional High Standard Sharpshooter 103, made with Sport King frame in 1969, Matching Box/Literature, 2149202, FB01264
Description:
High Standard only made 905 Sharpshooter pistols with a 5 ½ “ bull barrel mated to a Sport King frame in 1969 in its effort to use up previously fabricated parts. This scarce transitional pistol has a standard patridge front sight and fully adjustable rear sight. Model and Caliber are marked on the left side of the barrel with the High Standard Hamden address on the right side. Slide with the HIGH STANDARD reference along with Model 103 and the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the frame. This early frame retains the SPORT KING reference, a transition that is well documented in the recent High Standard Firearms History book on page 122. Fitted with molded checkered grips, each panel with the trigger logo medallion. Blued magazine with green follower and fixed HI-STANDARD base. Complete with original factory matching box and full complement of literature.
Condition:
98-99% original blue with just minor muzzle wear and a few tiny scuffs on the forward frame around the barrel release plunger. Front and back straps as new. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Comparable condition literature. Solid box with scuffing and nicely marked end label. An infrequently encountered transitional pistol whose condition and accessories should appeal to any High Standard collector!
