Standard configuration mid-production M1 Paratrooper Carbine, .30 Carbine cal. Barrel marked INLAND DIV./GENERAL MOTORS/6-44 with chamber marked U.S. CARBINE/CAL. 30 MI, the rear of receiver marked with the manufacturer and full SN. Features include a round blued bolt, ramp milled rear sight, low wood, barrel without bayonet lug, original paratrooper folding stock whose butt is internally molded with the usual numbers. Pistol grip marked RI on lower surface reflecting subcontractor. Disassembly showing “IO” marked handguard and stock channel. Complete with “KSG” marked 20-round magazine and khaki sling.
Condition:
VG+ original blue and parkerizing with sharp edge wear and fading as one might expect from a firearm that saw moderate use, lower receiver around trigger guard faded with toning as imaged. Near EXC original hand guard and stock, both IO marked, the RI on pistol grip a subcontractor stamp. Folding shoulder stock and sling in the same overall VG+ condition. EXC magazine. Near mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. A very attractive and correct Inland Division Paratrooper Carbine Model 1944.
