Attractive, Original Condition Ithaca 1911A1 pistol, U.S. Military, WWII, made 1944.
Description:
Standard configuration 1911A1 manufactured by Ithaca in 1944, the left side of the slide marked with the usual two-line Ithaca address. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, serrated slide release, thumb safety, narrow hammer, short grip safety, and checkered Keyes Fiber grips with screw reinforcements. Correct blued magazine marked with an ‘R’ on the toe. Disassembly shows barrel lug marked with a “P” and “HS”.
Condition:
Very good original parkerized finish with sharp edge and holster wear consistent with a service pistol that has seen moderate use. Comparable grips and magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A very attractive and all original Ithaca M1911A1 pistol from WWII!
