Excellent & Desirable Late War Japanese Military Type 94 Nambu Pistol, Square Back with Smooth Grips, Factory Matching Magazine, Spare Magazine, and Canvas Holster.
Description:
Excellent original condition Japanese Type 94 Nambu pistol, caliber 8mm Nambu, made April 1945. Standard configuration Type 94 with fixed front and rear sights. Usual Kanji on left side of frame and bracketing safety lever. Right side of frame marked with production year 20.4 and full serial number 69691. All components salt blued. Fitted with smooth, unnumbered, wooden grips as typical for the latest production pistols. Complete with a factory matching magazine, a second closely numbered magazine, and a high quality reproduction canvas holster.
Condition:
VG/EXC with early toning and irregular blueing as often seen on the late production guns. Oil stained grips with scattering of handling marks. Matching magazine in same condition as the pistol. The spare magazine with an extensively filed surface, presumably for a better insertional fit. Near mirror bore. Pistol cocks and fires correctly though the safety does not sufficiently block the transfer bar ie the cocked pistol will fire even when the safety is on. Correctable by bending the head in. Reproduction holster is excellent.
