Description:
French M1892 SA/DA Military Revolver, made by Mre D’Armes St. Etienne between 1892-1924 as replacement for the M1873, this example manufactured in 1901. Standard 4.5” barrel fitted with fixed front and rear sights. The model and manufacturing date on the top and upper right barrel flat respectively. Manufacturer marking and full serial number on the right side of the frame. Inspector markings in usual locations. Fitted with checkered walnut grips, broadly bordered, secured with a single screw. No lanyard ring on butt.
Condition:
G original finish which is largely faded to a toned brown with oxidative etching as photographed. Comparable condition small parts whose straw is largely a mixed brown grey. Grips with deep checkering, scattered handling marks, the left panel missing a chip above the bottom frame lug, the right panel with a hairline crack. Dull bore with easily discernible rifling. Correct manual mechanics. We want this one gone, no return privileges on this brown biscuit.
