Description:
This Remington-Smoot New Model Number 4 Revolver, chambered in .41 CF, with 2.5 “ barrel having fixed front and notched rear sight. Single line address on top of barrel referencing manufacturer and location. Disassembly shows SN ‘1873’ on frame under the top strap and repeated over the bottom strap. Assembly number “46” on 5-shot cylinder, under barrel, and each of the finely checkered/thinly bordered hard rubber grips. Remington produced 23,000 units of this model from 1877-1888.
Condition:
EXC with few scattered oxidative flecking, but minimal wear. Recoil shield shows no cartridge head imprints. Bright bore. Correct manual mechanics. An all original and matching Remington Smoot No. 4 Revolver that would be difficult to improve upon! ANTIQUE.
