Description:
Roth–Steyr Model 1907 (M7) semiautomatic pistol manufactured by FÉG (Fegyvergyár), Budapest between 1907-1914, SN: 23917, cal. 8mm Roth-Steyr, this example made 1912 with an original holster. Designed as a DA with locked-breech, rotary-barrel operating system and fixed 10-round internal magazine loaded via stripper clip. The pistol is marked on the top rib “FEGYVERGYÁR BUDAPEST”, small parts with Hungarian “R”-markings, the rear of the frame stamped with the Vienna military acceptance mark “Wn” and dated “12,” indicating acceptance in 1912. The serial number is on the right side of the frame. The disc on the right grip is unmarked. Original vertically serrated wooden grips, the right panel with inspection marks on bottom. Accompanied by an original brown leather military flap holster with magazine pouch, the shoulder strap tabs replaced by a later-added belt loop and scriptic “HM” initials on back surface. No stripper clips.
Condition:
Bright 97% original rust blue with sharp edge wear and oxidative flecking around the muzzle, negligible grip strap wear, nice haloing around the acceptance/year date on rear of frame. Light oxidative flecking on exposed bolt, surface of trigger, and head of grip screw. Near-excellent oil darkened grips with minimal superficial handling marks. Mirror-bright bore. Correct manual mechanics. VG- holster with supple leather and intact stitching, the shoulder strap tabs replaced by a belt loop and added “HM” initials as carefully imaged.
