Alkartasuna was a Spanish Company founded in Guernica in 1914 that remained operational until 1922. Toward the end of its production, the firm made a number of Eibar Type Pistols in 7.65mm (.32ACP) with an extended barrel and revised front sight. This example is serialized very close to the pistol photographed and detailed in Astra Firearms and Selected Competitors by Antaris on page 674. Disassembly shows an all matching gun, matched with assembly number 591. Fitted with the coarsely checkered walnut grips, lanyard ring, and correct original magazine with the encircled AK on the floor-plate.
Condition:
EXC with light sharp edge wear and slight fading of the rust blue over the slide serrations. Surprisingly little wear on front and back-straps. Comparable condition grips and magazine. Very bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the more interesting and visually striking of the Spanish Eibar pistols whose history and variations are well detailed in the previously mentioned text pages 670-675.
