Thurgau Canton emblem on left side of frame followed by “POLIZEI”. Right side of slide marked with model and serial number. Right side of matching barrel is marked with the caliber. The full serial number repeated for the third time, on the right side of the frame. Fitted with SIG Sauer grips with unmarked checkered surfaces. Magazine made by MEC-GAR, in Italy on behalf of SIG Sauer, as marked on the left side. Right side of the magazine with three indicator holes numbered “5, 10, 15 ”. Complete with military cleaning kit dated 1958, matching test target, instuction booklet, and original matching shipping box.

Near excellent original condition with sharp edge wear and a few superficial scuffs as one might expect from a police service pistol. A few small marks on frontstrap as photographed. Comparable condition grips and magazine. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. Excellent test target and instruction booklet. Box intact, scattered discolorations on lid, excellent liner. An attractive SIG P226, made and marked for the Thurgau Police, equally at home in a collection and on the range.
