Description:

Sistema Colt Model 1927 pistol, cal. .45ACP, marked “Ejercito Argentino” as made by DGFM in Argentina complete with a shipping box and an Argentine military holster. The pistol is a close copy of the Colt 1911A1 with a 5-inch barrel, a fixed front sight, and a drift-adjustable U-notch rear sight. The left side of the frame is manufacturer-marked, as reflected by the initials D.G.F.M.-(F.M.A.P.). The right side of the slide is marked with the Argentine seal, followed by a two-line address, “Ejercito Argentino/Sist. Colt Cal. 11.25 mm Mod. 1927,” followed by the full serial number that is repeated on the top of the barrel, the right side of the frame, and on the magazine floorplate. Fitted with uniformly checkered black plastic panels and a fixed lanyard ring. Complete with a correct Modelo Argentino 1927 shipping box numbered to pistol 75930 and an Argentine olive-green leather military holster.

Condition:

VG-EXC with approximately 95-97% bright blue, likely reworked, for although the slide has the subtle dual tone hardening line 2-inches back from the muzzle, the second line of the slide address appears hand enhanced. The floorplate of the magazine has been removed and the serial number altered/enhanced, overstamping of the last digit particularly noticeable. Reworking occurred years ago, as blue tone correct, aged wear appropriate for a lightly carried/ holstered pistol. Mirror bright bore. Correct manual mechanics. Box for Modelo Argentino 1927 pistol #75930 is tattered with corner separations and tears. G-VG holster with numerous scuffs, intact stitching.
