Description:
Standard configuration Walther Olympia with adjustable front and drift rear sight having 9.25” barrel. Usual Walther markings on left and right sides of slide. Triple set of Crown/N proofs on right side of slide, barrel and frame. British BNP proofs on left side of slide, barrel and frame along with the caliber .22LR and pressure testing denotation. Checkered wood grips. Mag is marked “36”. PROVENANCE: Previously owned and white-highlighted by Warren Buxton who had photographed this pistol for inclusion in his still-unpublished book.
Synopsis:
Walther Olympia, with special order long barrel and British proofing.
Condition:
Very good condition, with light pitting on left side and trigger guard. Sharp edge wear and scattered dings as one might expect from a pistol that has seen moderate use. Comparable condition grip with a small loss on the right side, near the upper rear corner of the checkered panel, and a hairline crack at the base. Bright bore with strong rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the more unusual Olympias, especially nice in having a British history to succeed its German origin. For more information regarding Walther Olympias click here. C&R.
