Walther P38 480 code was the first true German Military contract P38 with a total production of 7250 pistols. This all matching, original finish, example has the usual model designation and 480 coding on the left side of the slide followed by the serial number that is repeated on the barrel lug and left side of the frame. Locking block and each of the grips with the last three digits. The 480 code is repeated on the left side of the trigger guard web. The right side of the slide carries the usual acceptance and proof marks, two of which are properly haloed. All the usual small parts and each of the matching grips are marked with the E/359 acceptance. Original magazine with full serial number on the left side and the paired E/359 acceptance at the base of the spine.
Condition:
VG+ original finish with sharp edge/holster wear as one might expect from and early production Military pistol that was carried and used throughout the war. Near mirror bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. An exceptionally scarce German WWII Military pistol in fine original condition with a matching magazine!
