Wartime Soviet TT-33 Tokarev pistol, serial number 1170, dated 1944. Standard military configuration semi-automatic pistol chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev cartridge with fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Top of slide marked with serial number, Izhevsk Arsenal marking, and production year “1944”. Left side of frame with matching serial number and same markings as the top. Exhibits characteristic wartime production features including rougher machining and finish typical of late-war Soviet manufacturing when production was prioritized over cosmetic quality. Features the distinctive removable hammer-sear mechanism assembly characteristic of Tokarev design for simplified field maintenance. Fitted with checkered brown wooden grips, which were commonly used during wartime production. No external safety as standard for military configuration, relying on half-cock notch for carry safety. Includes an original wartime magazine with correct flat follower, lanyard loop, and serial number ending in 4033.
Condition:
G/VG original condition with holster and handling wear, associated toning, as one would expect from a carried and well used military pistol. Dull bore with easily discernible rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A nice, original Russian military Tokarev from late WWII
