Luxurious Gold Damascened Destroyer, nearly 100% coverage, with mother of pearl grips. SN: 81092. Cal 6.35mm. Standard configuration Destroyer with fixed front and rear sight and 2.25” barrel measuring 4.5” length and 3” height. Left frame marked “DESTROYER PATENT/CAL. 6.35.” Full Serial number on right side of frame. Damascening applied in a floral/scroll pattern with accented border over most surfaces, including the exposed portion of the barrel hood, with classic Eibar-inspired dragon on backstrap. Magazine floorplate and screwheads are also damascened with a gold wash having been applied to the thumb safety, trigger, and magazine release. In fact, the only portions of this pistol not embellished are the front of the muzzle, the inside of the trigger guard and the bottom of the frame. Smooth mother-of-pearl grips. Blued magazine body with five indicator holes and damascened floorplate. Disassembly shows major parts with matching assembly number “336”. Condition: Approximately 97% of the gold damascening with sharp edge wear from careful use. As true for many of these pistols, much of the gold wash from the thumb safety has faded with comparable fading over grip screws. Left grip is nearly perfect. The right grip has a noticeable chip extending back from the screw. Bright bore with shallow rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the most appealing of the Spanish pocket pistols with a REALLY memorable name. For more information about gold damascene guns, click here
