The right side of the slide and both sides of the frame have a scattering falsified FN and Mauser markings along with “Crown/R” proofs. Full serial number is on the right side of the chamber flat, slide and frame. The left side of the frame has been fitted with a mid-frame Eibar-type safety, retained with a separate screwed-in forked spring. Original wood checkered grips. Magazine with 5 indicator holes on left side, 3 indicator holes on the right side and a falsified “Mauser Banner” floorplate. This exact pistol is pictured in the “Pistols of the Warlords 1911-1949” by Ian McCollum pages 170-171.
