Chinese Warlord, Chunky, Documented, FN 1900 Copy, 7.63mm, 1059, FB01960
Description:
The Chinese Warlords were extremely fond of the FN 1900 pistol and the 7.63mm Broomhandle Mauser cartridge, so it should come as not surprise that a number of FN Copies were up-sized to handle this more potent round. This particular pistol, essentially a pocket rocket, was photographed and described in “Pistols of the Warlords 1911-1949” by Ian McCollum, on pages 360-361. The left side of the pistol is marked with nonsense characters and fraudulent Belgium proofs in the same location as per the original FN 1900. The top of the slide is marked “PATENT BROWNHNES”. The matching serial number is repeated on the right side of the sight, slide, and frame. Fitted with FN logo grips and round base magazine for 6 cartridges with two indicator holes.
Condition:
Generally a brown/grey gun, nicely marked, with a good bore and proper manual mechanical function. One of the more interesting FN 1900 copies for the large 7.63mm cartridge. NOT TO BE FIRED! NOT TO BE FIRED! NOT TO BE FIRED!
