Description:
Standard configuration, late production Astra M900, shipped to German Army in Southern France in the late serial range 32788-33774 with correct stock, mismatched, but in the same serial range. A total of 1050 such ensembles were delivered to the Nazis during WWII. Pistol has 5.5 inch screw-in barrel and slip-in tangent rear sight graduated from 50-1000. Short extractor and two lug firing pin. Large ring hammer and full frame. Sideplate with caliber, patent date 1928 and company location in Guernica, Spain. Full serial number on frame above grip. Right side marked with the automatic pistol proof on barrel, receiver, and right side of frame whose markings include the Eibar house proof and a year code “LL” reflecting production in 1940. Serrated wood panels. No lanyard ring. Major parts rust blued; most small parts fire blued; bolt, hammer, and small transverse bolts in the white. Disassembly shows all-matching components. Complete with Astra M900 stock #33719, matching lid and lug. Fits well to pistol with minimal wobble.
Condition:
VG+ with sharp edge wear and scattered superficial freckling, especially on front of mag well and front/backstrap. Oil darkened grips. Near mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG Astra stock, revarnished but not sanded, with faded hardware as photographed.
