Great example of a WWII Liberator Pistol made by the Guide Lamp Division of General Motors in 1942. Standard configuration in being a fixed sight, unmarked pistol chambered for the .45 ACP and completed with an unrifled barrel. The pistols were dropped shipped in-the-white for partisan use. Over 1 million produced over a 10-11 week period allowing a production interval of less than 7 seconds per pistol. So ugly and unfinished….yet with an unsurpassed charm! A key piece for any collector of WWII small arms.
