Left side of barrel extension marked “CAL.9.” The locking block on top of slide marked with Bergman Mars patent reference. Crown/Crown/U on barrel, barrel extension and left side of trigger guard. Serial number under barrel. Walnut checkered grips, unnumbered, with fine border, secured with single transverse screw. Replacement/reworked magazine #779.

Condition:
VG+ original rust blue finish, with muzzle and sharp edge wear as one might expect from a lightly used pistol. . Comparable condition fire blue on locking block, rear sight and safety lever. Same holds true for the straw on hammer and trigger. Replacement/reworked magazine whose removal is a little sticky. Original grips, oil darkened, with blunted checkering and scattered handling marks. No suggestion of enhancement. Bright Bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A very nice Bergmann M1903, a real find for those interested in early developmental pistols!
