Inspection marking on left side of receiver. “P.56” on left receiver rail. Full serial number under barrel and forward frame with the last two digits under the sideplate, trigger, barrel extension, and on all three components of the toggle, and each of the grips. Correct magazine with tinned body and unmarked walnut plug. Complete with earlier holster, made with a spare magazine pouch, manufacturer marked and dated “21” on obverse surface.
High condition, all-matching, Swiss Bern 1906/24 Luger with earlier “21” dated holster having added pouch. SN: 18911. Cal. 7.65mmLuger.
At least 95-97% bright original rust blue, touch-up to rear toggle link, with sharp edge wear in usual locations as befitting a pistol that has seen light service. Small parts with richly tempered strawing. Comparable condition front and backstraps, and grips. Near excellent magazine whose body scattered flecks of discoloration. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG+ holster with supple leather and original stitching, separation of stitching showing no separations. A very nice Swiss 1924 Bern Luger with a slightly earlier era holster, especially nice to have with its leather lanyard.
