Attractive example of an early Japanese Type 94 Military pistol, first year production, this example SN 453 having been made in October 1935, complete with a closely numbered magazine and original leather holster. The pistol is a standard configuration Type 94 with fixed front and rear sights. Usual Kanji on left side of frame and bracketing safety lever. Right side of frame marked with production year 10.10 and full serial number 453. Major component rust blued. Many of the small parts strawed. Fitted with black plastic grips with central checkering and smooth border. Factory nickles magazine closely numbered 468. Complete with pigskin holster with inked Japanese writing inside lid.
Condition:
VG with moderate scattered freckling, now smooth from light cleaning. Exposed barrel and strawed parts with expected wear and light oxidation. Comparable condition grips. EXC magazine. Mirror Bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG holster with scuffs and stains as imaged, small segment of missing stitching along rear boarder. An exceptionally early production Type 94, the 453rd gun assembled, that should attract any collector of Japanese or WWII small arms.
