Very attractive Mauser 340 B Sporter, designed as a single shot .22LR Military trainer configuration having 26.75 inch barrel, checkered ramp leading to hooded post front sight and tangent rear sight graduated from 30-200 with windage capability. Bolt action with three position safety. Mauser banner over chamber. Full serial number on left side of barrel and receiver, accompanied by BUG proofs. “D.R. P.D.R.G.M. on right side of barrel. Trigger guard with checkered base. Single piece stock with groved forend and separated panels of grip checkering. Large Mauser logo on right side of stock and Mauser banner on buttplate. Era correct unmarked sling.
Condition:
VG-EXC with metal surfaces retaining 97% bright original blue. Stock with scattered handling marks as photographed. Excellent floorplate. Sling with crazing and age cracking. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A very nice, original and fully matching pre/early WWII Mauser Training type rifle.
