Phenomenal Webley & Scott 1902 Fosbery semiautomatic revolver, one of the few that were chambered for .38 ACP, this example with six inch barrel and fixed sights, one of the best condition revolvers extant. Top of rib marked “P. WEBLEY & SON. LONDON & BIRMINGHAM” The left side of top strap “Webley Fosbery”notation. Left side of frame with winged bullet logo followed by the caliber. Full serial number on right side of frame with last three digits repeated on front of matching cylinder. Hard rubber checkered grips, left panel molded with the word “SAFE”. Rotatable lanyard ring on butt.
Condition:
Excellent with 98-99% original blue. Faint muzzle wear, usual wear/markings on cylinder, and thin areas on back strap as carefully photographed. Nearly all the paint remaining on the release latch. Crisp sharply molded/checkered grips in the same spectacular condition as the rest of the revolver. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. It would be virtually impossible to upgrade this magnificent .38 ACP Fosbery!
