Description:
Standard configuration single action pistol with 4.75” barrel and drift adjustable front and rear sight. The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detentes are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release marked on left side of trigger guard. “BE” reflecting subsequent reissue to the Bern Canton marked on the right side of the trigger guard. Disassembly shows a matching hammer assembly with the usual half cock. Fitted with checkered black plastic grips, separated escutcheons, secured with a single transfer screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Matte magazine.
Condition:
Near excellent original matte finish with sharp edge wear that one would expect from light military use followed by Bern Municipal carry. Comparable or better condition grips and magazine. Mirror bore and perfect manual mechanics. A very nice, all original military P49 with an interesting military and municipality history. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
