The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detentes are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release marked on the left side of the trigger guard and discretely applied import marking on base of frame. Disassembly shows a matching hammer assembly with the usual half cock. Fitted with checkered black plastic grips, separate escutcheons, secured with a single transfer screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Complete with a matte finish magazine. Leather military holster, dated “55” with an earlier dated “52” strap.

VG-EXC original condition with sharp edge wear as befitting a service pistol that has seen light-moderate use. Crisp grips. Bright bore and perfect manual mechanics. G-VG tan holster and strap with intact stitching. A scarce and all matching military P49, with the desirable transitional features that only appeared in a narrow serial range from A109711-A120500, complete with dated holster/strap, with just enough wear to take to the range without appreciably altering its collector value.
