This SIG is the 426th production P210 configuration pistol, the series starting at SN 6001, different from later by virtue of its slide markings, manner of numberation, and rust blue finish. This single action pistol has a 4.75” barrel, drift adjustable semi patridge front sight, drift adjustable rear sight, and loaded indicator. The left side of the slide is marked “S.P.47/8 SIG”. The full serial number is repeated on the left side of the frame, the right side of the barrel hood and under the slide/over the firing pin housing. The hammer group, without half cock, is unnumbered. Safety detents are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. Fitted with serrated walnut grips, no lanyard ring on the left side as correct for these Swedish contract pistols. Secured with fire blued screw and unmarked matte magazine with 7 indicator holes and removable floorplate.
Condition:
Approximately 92-95% bright, original blue with most of the wear on the tip of the rails and on frontstrap. Comparable condition grips that retain most of their original varnish. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the earliest SIG pistols, made before the either the P210 or the P49 series went into production, this example in the scarcer 7.65mmP. A real gem for the advanced collector.
