Although the early Swiss 1929 were fit with red canvasite grip and magazine plug, the material was fragile and frequently chipped/cracked. This example is one of the early guns with fitted with a far more durable brown plastic grips and a magazine with a complimentary colored. plug. Standard features otherwise include 4.75” barrel with drift adjustable front sight and fixed “U” rear sight. Full matching serial number on barrel, left rail, and rear toggle link with last three digits repeated on side plate and bottom of barrel extension. All small parts with usual inspector markings. “P” release marking in front of trigger guard. Forward frame recess marked “10.34” (October 1934). W/F logo on back of frame. Uniformly checkered chocolate brown grips with magazine having corresponding chocolate colored plug.
Condition:
Near EXC original salt blue, barrel correctly brightly polished as true for the early pistols, with light holster wear as one might expect from a pistol that has seen minimal service. Mirror bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics.
